Terms Of Service

From everyone at ForwardMailTo, thank you for using our service. We build it to give you professional email forwarding without the complexity of a full email suite. Because we can't know every customer personally, we have these Terms of Service to help keep things clear and fair.

When we say "Company", "we", "our", or "us" in this document, we are referring to ForwardMailTo. When we say "Service", we mean the ForwardMailTo website at forwardmail.to and all related features, including email forwarding, SMTP reply-as, DNS verification, and any other functionality we provide. When we say "You" or "your", we are referring to the people or organizations that own an account with our Service.

We may update these Terms of Service in the future. Whenever we make a significant change, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and notify account holders by email. When you use our Service, now or in the future, you are agreeing to the latest Terms. These Terms do contain a limitation of our liability.

Account Terms

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. The Company cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
• You may not use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.
• You are responsible for all content posted to and activity that occurs under your account, including activity of any team members you invite.
• You must be a human. Accounts registered by automated methods are not permitted.
• You must provide a valid email address to complete the signup process.

Payment, Refunds, and Plan Changes

• Your first domain is free with every feature included. No credit card is required, no time limit, and no feature restrictions. We do not sell your data.
• Free plan includes one domain with every core feature. No credit card is required, no time limit, and no feature restrictions. The Pro plan ($4.99/month or $49.90/year) unlocks additional domains, unlimited aliases, longer logs, and webhook forwarding. When you subscribe to a paid plan, we charge your card immediately and your billing cycle starts on the day of the subscription.
• All fees are exclusive of all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities. Where required, we will collect those taxes on behalf of the taxing authority.
• If you are unhappy with the Service for any reason, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of your most recent payment and we will issue a full refund for that payment.

Cancellation and Termination

• You are solely responsible for properly canceling your account. You can cancel from your account settings. An email request to cancel your account is not automatically considered cancellation. If you need help, contact us at [email protected].
• If you cancel a paid domain before the end of your current billing period, your cancellation takes effect immediately and you will not be charged again. We do not automatically prorate unused time.
• All of your data (domains, aliases, forwarding rules, email logs) will be permanently deleted within 30 days of account cancellation. We cannot recover this information once it has been permanently deleted.
• We have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Service for any reason at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email before taking action, except in cases of abuse or where your usage negatively impacts other customers.
• Verbal, physical, written, or other abuse (including threats of abuse or retribution) of a Company employee will result in immediate account termination.

Modifications to the Service and Prices

• We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the Service with or without notice.
• If we change pricing for existing customers, we will give at least 30 days notice via the email address on your account.

Use of the Service

• You may not use ForwardMailTo to send unsolicited bulk email (spam), phishing messages, or any content that violates applicable law.
• You may not use the Service to impersonate another person or entity.
• You may not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or breach any security or authentication measures.
• You may not use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or interfere with any other party's use of the Service.
• We reserve the right to temporarily disable your account if your usage significantly exceeds the average usage of other customers. We will reach out to you before taking action except in rare cases where usage may negatively impact the Service for others.

Uptime, Security, and Privacy

• Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not offer a formal service-level agreement but take uptime seriously.
• We take measures to protect and secure your data through backups, redundancies, and encryption. We enforce encryption for data transmission from the public Internet.
• When you use our Service, you entrust us with your data. We take that trust to heart. You agree that ForwardMailTo may process your data as described in our Privacy Policy and for no other purpose.
• We may access your account data only: to help you with support requests (with your consent), to fix errors in automated processing, to safeguard the Service as part of abuse investigations, or to the extent required by applicable law.

Email Forwarding Specific Terms

• ForwardMailTo forwards emails on your behalf but does not store the content of forwarded messages beyond what is necessary for processing and delivery. Email logs (metadata such as sender, recipient, timestamp, and delivery status) are retained for 30 days.
• You are responsible for configuring your DNS records correctly. We provide guidance and automatic verification, but we are not responsible for email delivery failures caused by incorrect DNS configuration on your domain.
• SMTP reply-as credentials are generated for your use only. You are responsible for keeping these credentials secure. Do not share them with unauthorized parties.
• We do not guarantee delivery of forwarded emails. Email delivery depends on many factors outside our control, including the recipient's email provider, spam filters, and DNS propagation.

Copyright and Content Ownership

• The Company owns all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all intellectual property rights. You obtain no ownership rights in the Service as a result of your use.
• You may not duplicate, copy, or reuse any portion of the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or visual design elements without express written permission from the Company.
• You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without the express written permission of the Company.

Liability

You expressly understand and agree that the Company shall not be liable, in law or in equity, to you or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, lost profits, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses (even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the Service; (ii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iii) statements or conduct of any third party on the Service; (iv) the failure of any email to be delivered or forwarded; or (v) any other matter relating to these Terms or the Service, whether as a breach of contract, tort (including negligence whether active or passive), or any other theory of liability.

In other words: choosing to use our Service does mean you are making a bet on us. If the bet does not work out, that's on you, not us. We do our best to be as safe a bet as possible through careful management of the business, investments in security and infrastructure, and in general giving a damn.
